Like all of my fellow physicians, I work hard to earn my income. I studied for years, and often work long and erratic hours and am now battling the economic squeeze felt by many of us.
So, like everyone else, I want to do the best I can managing the money I earn. While successful money management is always a challenge, particularly when you are as busy as most of us are, it is incredibly difficult given the crisis in the financial markets.
Thankfully, iMedExchange gets it! They get us! They listen to the needs of physicians and they are working hard to deliver value and solutions as quickly as possible, particularly in light of our need to protect our earnings from uncertain financial markets.
There is wisdom in crowds. As our community on iMedExchange grows...and by the way, we are the fastest growing community for physicians by far...the ability to connect around personal, clinical and certainly financial topics is incredibly valuable. But they are offering far more...
The Financial Resource Center, the Financial Crisis Speaker Series and the Vital Signs daily market digest are indications that this community is something special. Not only are we connecting with one another in increasing numbers, but we are getting unparalleled content that is growing by the week. Finally, we now have access to world-class financial experts.

I can't agree with you more. I have listened to all the financial conference calls and found them to be concise and relavent. Given the financial turmoil of recent times I have great concerns over the amount of wealth I have lost and need accurate and unbiased information to make rational decisions about my financial future. Additionally the ability to reach out to my peers for advise and converstaion be it professional or personal has been a breath of fresh air. I would encourage all physicians to explore the site...it will be an asset to your professional and personal life

This series is really important for all physicians and residents. Your right Howard...we work hard for what we make. This series pools the collective wisdom of all the physicians on iMedExchange with the financial direction of some of the industrues most intelligent minds. Brilliant! We are on the threshold of an unprecedented opportunity. Until I invested in imedexchange, I spent most of my adult life paying someone to manage my finances and trusting them to make the right choices. The opportunity that Imedexchange is creating for its members during our current financial crisis could not be better timed. It appears to me, that Imedexchange has pulled together an all-star team of financial advisors that are ready to educate its members, all for the price of membership, FREE!!! I may not be the smartest doctor on the website when it comes to financial issues, but I do know and trust that the financial state of this country will recover. That means that the best time to get an education is now, so that we can be poised and ready to take advantage of the growth before it happens. I agree with the sentiments listed in H Luks's blog. My fellow physicians, this is an opportunity of a lifetime.

As a current resident is it a great venue to hear the opinions of physicians that have been at this job for many years and to hear their point of view about subjects that may not come up in conferences and in the OR. Hearing about how working physicians are handling their financial situations and their office practices gives us a preview of what is in store for us.

As a leader in neurosurgery's national socioeconomic organization (CSNS) I can tell you that medical-socioeconomic education on all levels lags far behind medical-scientific education even though it is absolutely crucial not only to our personal well being but to the well being of our patients. The forums provided on imedexchange will make a huge difference for me and for many.
The site also offers many other benefits to any who visit, it is now my most frequently visited site, there is so much to learn, plus a lot of fun to be had and friends to be made.
